I did no such thing, I posted an image I liked and asked no questions. I suppose my humor didn’t seem to come across well.

No, your humor worked fine. I guess I misunderstood the rest of your intention. The background (in my mind) was that ice cream can be so frustrating to shoot–I've tried to myself.

I like the picture, too, only tcphoto's initial comment about how fast ice cream melts gave me the idea that the outcome disappointed him and he wanted to know more about getting ice cream to look freshly served.

I thougth he was just going for humor, hence the, "Thanks Capt. Obvious". Either way, I'd like to have some of that cobbler! :-)

I like that tcphoto1's was a real time dessert. Brings a craving to want to eat some, success either way.

One of my early ice cream shoots and some 4 minutes later from a different angle. ;-)a Was hard because the fruit was warmed and Staub pan was hot.

These past several posts illustrate the difference between photos of opportunity of photos staged for a purpose. As a food photographer you would never see, for example, cold ice cream placed on a warm dish. Temperature doesn't matter in an image. :-D

Funny, I didn't see anything "cooked" on your website. My clients like real food not faked it we can help it.

Next item for this evening's dinner: tuna salad with avocado, cucumbers, celery, red onions and a lot of greens from my herb garden.

I agree, Gene. They look better, indeed.
But I may have agreed only because I've been suffering from camera withdrawal symptoms having only my rotten phone right now :)
Sold my Canon gear and moving onto a mirrorless system:twisted:

Renata, No, say it ain't so!
