Very beautiful, incredible looking bird Archi. You've probably shown me more birds from your trip that I haven't seen, than birds from the US that I have seen. I can't believe how many different, beautiful, and unusual bird species you've posted here lately...very impressive. The only downside that I can see, is the incredible amount of time you've had to spend on the computer, getting all these birds through photoshop, and properly organizing them. I, for one, have really been enjoying all your posts of these incredible bird species. Thanks.

Thanks for the comment, Mike. It was quite the experience in Ecuador, so many bird types that I have never seen before. It was a lot of work every day, though, and thinking about it still makes me tired!

Very Nice photos Bjarne, I use to see them on the Gorse by Sandbay beach less than a mile from my house on a daily basis until the stoat population increased. They are a low nesting bird and were wiped out by the Stoats. Where once they were plentiful sadly this is now the 2nd year I've not seen any.
They are a rare bird to see in the UK and this was devastating news for the population that is now only in a few small areas and it is always nice to see photos of them.

Many thanks Jack.

Eating my lunch in the car and this swallow lands on the gate about 6-7 metres away and just stares at me.

Thought I would post this one again - I have worked on it slightly different, I have just focused on the duck - used the mask and just increased some sharpening and clarity on the duck, and done no other work on the over all picture a part from cropping slightly.

Awsome Vassilis, and very unfair that we don't get them this far north in Europe

Thank you Harry ans sidknee. It is unfair, I agree. I would happily exchange some bee-eaters with a barn owl that is VERY difficult to find here :-)
