Though I'd have hardly anything unique like Tom does to share. Sorry, all my perches are copyrighted with the National Perch Registry. I live by a lake in Southern Alberta! A lot of my bird pictures are taken from a kayak, a Waterskate, extremely stable. We have a lot of Great Horned Owls in this area and I know where they are! They let me get very close to them! On this particular picture I did some cropping! Elfie Thanks. I seldom see owls in my area but I do hear Great Horned Owls calling in January-February. I want to relate to you a story that was told quite a while back in Pennsylvania Game News.

I want to relate to you a story that was told quite a while back in Pennsylvania Game News. Near Cornell University in Central New York State, they have a bird sanctuary called Sapsucker Woods. It is 220 acres in size and is for the Ornithology studies offered there. Someone was walking in those woods one night, wearing a coon skin hat (Davy Crockett style.) A Great Horned Owl spotted that and naturally attacked the critter. The poor guy at the end of those powerful talons lost an eye as a result. Thank you, Lycomech96 for sharing that owl story! Elfie

I have solid results with the females, but there's just something about the dudes that just seems to make my camera not work right when pointed their way. Got lucky this evening though, I think. Also, today was the first time that I took my daughter out with me (11 months old now). She was a good sport about it, until she wasn't Absolutely splendid job on both of those, Matt. LD, or Mike
