Sharing another hobby with you guys...and a pic of course.
Probably from 30+ years of hiking/backpacking/paddle and cycle camping I've used a lot
of stoves. Different stoves for each of those activities due to weight/ease of use/etc.

When paddle camping weight is not an issue and I use 'vintage' stoves from Optimus. Heavy
but so robust and one filling of kerosene for the 111T picture will last Poof and I a 3-4 day paddle
trip.

So the hobby is finding these old stoves (found this 111T last week in a military surplus store) and then
'fettling' them. Fettle is a word the 'stovies' use to get an old often decrepit stove up and running....replacing
seals, gaskets, the wick and whatever else it takes.

This gem though was in primo condition for a stove made in the early 1950's and he took $120 for it. I could easily
double my money but the old kerosene burners are quite unique and in many ways safer than the Coleman fuel burners,
though I used an Optimus 99r (Coleman burner) for almost 20 years without explosion.

Anyway, something pic wise unique for me to post up :)

Ah that makes much more sense thanks!

I'm guessing their sensor business reports separately? Because I would think their profit would be the highest if sensors was included.

Yeah it's a separate business unit

I won't bore yall too much with these...I just ahd fun with the event...shot something that is pretty new and unfamiliar to me...my keepers are all about eye contact...this model had the look too, she was clearly very comfy in front of a camera...turns out...yep, professional runway model, Caroline Puri. I liked this one in B&W because that took away the effect of the odd yellow rain jacket she had on...

Sweet Caroline....sorry, had to at least once...

I checked out her IG page, the organizers sent them all out...I will never understand the over smoothing of skin...she had such great skin and a great look...but a lot of the images of her, she looks plastic...

You all know I cross post to the bird threads....never asked if that was a problem for you all ???
Anyway, my first Mississippi Kite. So many kites in the world and I've seen 3 of them. The Double Toothed
Kite in Panama but no image, the Everglades Kite, Swallow-Tail, and now the m.Kite

My first shots with the new camera and both lenses. Thy Zeiss lenses are just incredible. Still customizing the camera assigning certain buttons and dials to custom functions...brain sizzled after dealing with Canon for so many years but I'm getting there. Shooting in manual mode as usual.

Thanks

Been learning that sadly tracking AF on the MC-11 is a bit of a weird thing..

Ive discovered, for example, on the 150-600 that it works/tracks fine..until you hit the shutter release then it loses focus completely

Single shot AF works fine mind... just tracking is sadly not that good

I sometimes miss my old Coleman lantern, camp stove and catalytic heater. I don't camp or fish anymore so there's no need for them now but they were still very interesting devices and I was always fascinated by how they worked.

continuous low works with any adapted. Sigma mc11 + sigma art should give you 10fps tracking

Dance recital season for us over here too. 85GM and Godox 860II. Black foamie thingie method.

Anyone here have a chance to try out the new Godox V1? I'm thinking of picking one up.

we're two weeks away from our Singapore/Philippines month vacation. My lens now are only the 85GM and the 12-24. I felt like lacking the normal FL like a 24-70. I'm thinking about getting the Tamron 28-75. It's going to be perfect for my events shooting as well.

Any Tammy 28-75 users in here. Can you recommend it?

I highly-highly-highly recommend it. It's fast, quiet and sharp. Plus, has minimum focusing distance of 7.5" on the wide side and 15.3" on the tele end

I have had a similar experience with the 50art and the MB adapter. Tracking AF is useless.

Thanks. It was a new thing, and really all I did was take pictures...there was no direction from me...
