I think I owe Martin D on here a apology , been having minor problems with my pics for a bit but thought it was just down to old age , but just done some test shots on a static target in the back yard , and in dynamic o.s mode even when held steady on target the bloody focus point is jumping around all over the place , so I have just changed my o.s to moderate and it stays locked on all the time ..

so sorry Martin you were right from the start .. bloody stupid upgrades

No need for an apology, I'm sure a future firmware will fix it? I'm using Default now, seems to be the only workable solution.

Garden Birding this afternoon..

A couple from the weekend.

Bothe were taken at 600mm hand-held. Both were heavily cropped.
The Grouse (2nd image) was at 6400 ISO, 1/640....with a dog leash in one had to add to the shaky setup.

taken on a club walk around the other night , we bumped into another group filming and I haven't got a clue what this was about

I have a Nikon D500 and Sigma Contemporary and have just tested it. Dynamic and moderate View are jumping, so have reset it all to standard and no jumping.

Correct - standard mode seems to be the work around.. Sigma have yet to admit there firmware is flawed..

Sat in the hide this evening and this little chap hung around for a few portraits..

I FINAAALLLYYY found a beautiful Mallard. I have been looking for ducks since I got this dang lens.
