Venus, the Moon and Mercury in the sky, just before sunrise this morning, at the mouth of the Great Kei river, South Africa. The bird silhouetted at the bottom is a Goliath Heron.

Accidentally got a friend excited to see sunrise over the ocean yesterday.... so I managed to haul myself out of bed to go see it. Totally worth it... One of the best I've seen in a while.

Taken with Breakthrough X4 6-stop and 3-stop Reverse Hard Grad.

A couple of sunrise shots from yesterday morning. The painted rocks on the Break-wall required some fun lighting techniques.

The moment the sun kisses the horizon at Fulton Beach Rd. TX taken this morning.
Edit to add: I thought about it and this photo illustrates a sharp, environmental contrast. On one hand, it is a peaceful, serene scene with smooth water. At the same time, it shows that the destructive Hurricane Harvey was here in 2017 with the yet to be repaired pier.
