I do enjoy having the Tammy 28-75mm. Not sure how many here own one.....

Recent Bday documentation in a low lit restaurant my A73 confirmed eye detect but the some photos were oof. Oddly I never get that with my Gmaster.

I do not know if the most recent camera body firmware improved anything.

Maybe I’m just missing the point but it just doesn’t do anything for me at all. I have never looked at my 42MP image and wished I had over double the resolution. I suppose it opens up a whole new world of crop-ability but it will also bring a whole new level of early diffraction. All that said if the a7rIV has 100mp I’ll likely want it (unless it’s $10k!)

I'd take 100MP so long as it didn't involve any trade-offs from what we're using now. Massive size and price are a big those trade-off, and 100MP on a FF sensor would involve other trade-offs like signal noise...

We're definitely hitting a point of diminishing returns with these sensor improvements.....even 42mp is excessive in most circumstances. The only reason I care for it is because of the ability to crop stuff I frame loosely...mostly because I shoot all primes right now.

Was driving home from a shoot when I drove by this taco truck. I don't know why, but something about a green school bus selling tacos looked super appealing...plus I was starving.

Legit tacos!

Finally a long weekend for me to test out some gear. Folded and got the insta360 one x, very unique addition to my gear, can do some seriously amazing stuff, like slowly panning around a full dinner table. One of the most neat features is that you can repurpose a single clip into multiple clips.

Another thing I've been trying to figure out, an external mic on gimbal, while retaining all the features of the gimbal. Seems like the most simplest thing, but spent weeks trying to figure it out....... got out velcro and went away with it. Finally finally finally, found a solution. minimal setup time. Like all things video related, if it takes too much effort, it's not happening. After many months owning a gimbal, finally got a rig right, mic never needs to come off, camera can go in back without removal, my personal ultimate setup convenient enough to bring with me most places.

Cool video again Charlie. Did you use the 360 on this one? Looking forward to seeing what you do with that.

On a separate note have you ever seen the footage of cars at night running at normal speed and then it merges (speeds up?) into a light trail video but the trails are solid (but still a video, not stills). Hopefully you get what I am trying to explain. I’ve been trying to find another example of it to work out how to do it but can’t find any now

Edit - this isn’t quite the same but it’s similar. Imagine this but you are watching a car driving along normally at night and then it suddenly blends so that the car lights form a continuous trail as it moves away from you. *not my video*

Part 2 of my Florida trip. One more part to go. Hopefully people aren’t getting bored of them :). One thing I have realised though is that I need to try and learn some new ways of editing as all my videos are feeling a bit similar to me now. I’ll work on that though.

Uploaded in 4K so make sure it’s playing at a decent quality when viewing.

I think I'm going to sell the 24GM if anyone is interested.

I was curious about this lens as a lens that could be a compact wide angle for everyday shooting, but I think the Loxia 21 + some other small fast prime is a better fit for me. Might look at the voigtlander 40 1.2...or maybe another rx1rii.

Looks like a combination of video and long exposure timelapse...pretty darn cool.

Cool vid :-)

Do you find yourself not shooting photos now that you're doing more video? I find it tough to shoot both photos and video without completely disengaging....but I'm always a photographer at heart so even though I have the Osmo, video becomes under-prioritized.

Yeah I need to consciously make a point of taking photos at times when I get caught up in the video stuff :)

What I’ve found after coming back from Florida is that I have a low amount of photos and videos on certain days when it was really high temp. I didn’t realise at the time but the heat must have been affecting my motivation to shoot
