My mystery is solved. This guy is bringing home a plainfin midshipman for his new brood to feast on. I only found this out because our more famous osprey over at the Rosie the Riveter monument in Richmond have a live webcam on thier nest and a list of fish that they have been observed bringing back, and this was one of them. BTW, I highly recommend taking a look at the webcam if you have any interest in Osprey. The chicks are a couple of weeks old now and their is pleny of hi-def action to observe. http://sfbayospreys.or​g/
