Very nicely captured incoming shot, Glyn. There appears to be some kind of clips perhaps on his wings. It's easiest to see on the right wing. What are these for?

Hi Mike, they are identification tags.

These birds have been re-introduced to parts of the UK having almost become extinct, so its important to monitor their progress.

From just a few pairs 50 years ago, the current UK population now stands at an estimated 1800 breeding pairs.
