Thanks!

I darkened the corners a bit in post. But a lot of it is just the way the ambient light falls. I snapped a few initial shots of him and he was literally frozen in that position because he was so into the movie.....so I opened those three blinds behind him so they light him a bit compared to the rest of the room and snapped some more.

Beautiful green fields, not the kind of scenery found in Southern California. We do have stone walls like that in Northern California that were built by Chinese laborers during the gold rush era. No mortar used at all and they were built straight as an arrow.

We're a few miles inside the south of the city. Scenery like this starts in about 15 minutes drive. This was about 15-20 miles from home I guess.....

Here in Idaho I'm always thinking Black Bears which are usually more scared of us (No grizzlies on this side of the state), cougars of which there are many (if you see one it's prolly too late), and western rattlesnakes.

We've had a very wet spring with some really cool thunderstorms. I happen to look out back last evening and saw this cool set of clouds rolling by. Ran back in for the camera to get a snap. Several shot vertical pano with the 24mm.

very 3 dimensional...is it focus stacked, or single frame. I like it a lot.

working on the whit background at the BeAlpha event...I had very few of this model that I liked, they have a look that they are used to using, and I guess it didn't really engage with me very much...this one was not that look, more casual.

And just because...I loved the blue background and the way it just melts away at f/1.4...

Sony slashing prices on cameras right now. New camera on the way? Could be an a7riv....

But either way Sony looks to be getting aggressive on slamming the door shut on the eos r and Nikon z. Since their 3 year old cameras basically outperform canikons current best efforts, slashing prices of old models is all they really need to do in the near term.

Of course they need to keep pushing the innovative envelope too. Cant get complacent and get the rug swept from underneath them like canikon did

It hurts to see the price of the a9 where it is now...still don't regret having it...I still reach for it the majority of the time...and have no plans to offload it...

I’m debating on buying another a73 as I like using two same manufacturers bodies. The A9 is another consideration. Canadian prices is still $4699 CDN. USA prices is still a better bargain.

Really debating......

that was my thinking...I have B18 and B25 for faster stuff, and other faster stuff too...landscapes are mostly shot at f8 or higher...only astro is wide, and that is why I would keep the B18.

Thanks!

Sounds like a good plan. I really like the f/4 version and I virtually never use it at less than f/8 so I prefer the smaller size (and cheaper price). That being said, if someone offered me the GM in a trade I'd take it without hesitation as a 1 lens solution.

Thanks Travis! It was a single frame.
