We do have stone walls like that in Northern California that were built by Chinese laborers during the gold rush era. No mortar used at all and they were built straight as an arrow. We're a few miles inside the south of the city. Scenery like this starts in about 15 minutes drive. This was about 15-20 miles from home I guess.....

We've had a very wet spring with some really cool thunderstorms. I happen to look out back last evening and saw this cool set of clouds rolling by. Ran back in for the camera to get a snap. Several shot vertical pano with the 24mm. ![]() Epic. flickr

And just because...I loved the blue background and the way it just melts away at f/1.4... Image hosted by forum (980200) © TRhoads [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. But either way Sony looks to be getting aggressive on slamming the door shut on the eos r and Nikon z. Since their 3 year old cameras basically outperform canikons current best efforts, slashing prices of old models is all they really need to do in the near term. Of course they need to keep pushing the innovative envelope too. Cant get complacent and get the rug swept from underneath them like canikon did It hurts to see the price of the a9 where it is now...still don't regret having it...I still reach for it the majority of the time...and have no plans to offload it... KayakPhotos Goldmember More info Post edited over 4 years ago by KayakPhotos. | May 31, 2019 08:02 | #29367 TRhoads wrote in post #18870031 that was my thinking...I have B18 and B25 for faster stuff, and other faster stuff too...landscapes are mostly shot at f8 or higher...only astro is wide, and that is why I would keep the B18. Thanks! Sounds like a good plan. I really like the f/4 version and I virtually never use it at less than f/8 so I prefer the smaller size (and cheaper price). That being said, if someone offered me the GM in a trade I'd take it without hesitation as a 1 lens solution. Just a thought from Daniel
