I'm tempted, but trying to hold off. I'm headed out to Rocky mountain national Park this summer and this would be awesome for that trip. I have access to a 100 to 400ii and 2x converter and just ordered a 1.4x converter to use with that setup, but this is tempting.

Someone convince me one way or another! ߘ

Rocking the 6d2 and SL2 and (mostly) the 24-105 f4 L, 50mm f1.8 STM, and 135mm f2 L along with a few others.

Unless the sale is continued, and Deal Zone sales rarely are, the deal expires at midnight tonight Eastern Daylight time.

Open the link I provided and over to the right just above the $729 price is a countdown clock.

The last time this was a Deal Zone (last August) it was $749. I jumped on it and have used it more than I ever thought I would.

I had both the Tamron G1 and G2 competitor... and now I only use the 100-400ii native or with a 1.4xIII for distant wildlife and birds... I shoot in RMNP often, and this combo is great! I shoot it on bth a 5DIV and a 7DII.

You could do well with either, but the combo has served me much better

I hope you enjoy whichever you choose!

Anyone considering this lens, it is a fantastic deal at this price. This lens is far better than i would have dreamed. Check out the thread on it in lens samples and see what people are doing with it. It's quite remarkable, and at this price, it's a steal.
