I know that feeling. It's good you still have data.
Curious why your processed images are gone, but not your originals.

Years ago I sent my PC off for a rebuild and the bloke wiped everything. Years of my bushwalk/ wilderness photos gone.

Thanks, Richard.

For many years whenever I transferred images from my SD card to my PC, I have alays duplicated them on an external drive (norm, ally switched off to extend its life). I have also done the same with with most of my software. I also keep a encrypted record of passwords, registration codes etc on the cloud!

However, I have been careless about my processed images (1 or 2 per day). -?

Here is today's one and only, nothing special, processed image.

Now I come to think of it, a large proportion of my processed images are stored omn the POTN sever.

Cheers

Martin

Mm. I'm bit opposite in some and now I'd like my original to play with and not an earlier processed one.

Miseries of computers :-(

More shots of the old pier at Kinlochmoidar

The Kinlochmoidart pier was built to bring in the dressed sandstone used in the construction of the new Kinlochmoidart House (1882). The area is steeped in Scottish history and the original Kinlochmoidart House was used as a resting place by Bonnie Prince Charlie during the 1745 Jacobite Revolution. Nearby 7 beech trees have been planted in a field which represent the Seven Men of Moidart, the sum total of the army which he brought from France.

Thank you Richard, it's a beautiful place come rain or shine.

This part of Scotland has the remnants of our temperate rain forest aka Atlantic Woodland. It is home to ancient oak, ash, birch, hazel and Scots pine. It’s also where you’ll find rare and fascinating mosses and liverworts, lichens, fungi and ferns. I think it is beautiful but I find it difficult to photograph when you are in it. It is also difficult to walk through. This is a waist high view!

I am so glad you did. Nice wisps of cloud around the hills.

Keep up the good work

Thanks Martin, I will continue.
Your postings have always impressed and I know this little camera can perform.
It's hard work at moment as the Olympus has been with me for so long and I know its every move, so to speak.
Just need to revisit the G5X experience with more endeavour and resolve. I've a lot to learn about it.
But then it's only a camera! Not rocket science
