Thanks, Jake! This shot was taken on the second consecutive day of me watching this Great Blue hunt bullfrogs in a local wetland. I've got a more painful shot from day one but distance was greater so the IQ is not as good. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Same Great Blue a day earlier. Lower mandible right down the throat. This bird was a bullfrog assassin!

peregrine picked this whimbrel out of the water, and then brought it to the beach, i think it's a whimbrel at least...i don't know shorebirds

This was taken on the Gulf on Florida's west coast. The egret tried and tried to eat that puffer but it seemed to me that it couldn't get it down. If eventually flew off so I didn't get to see if it actually ate it but it struggled with it for a while.
