Is the name of the plant bug actually, "Plant Bug"? The reason I'm asking is for a gardening site on FB that I'm part of, a woman has these on her plants and wanted to know if they should be eradicated.

The plant bug is actually a ground bug Scolopostethus species. Unless there are a lot of plant bugs on a single plant I don't think they will do it too much harm, indeed some plant bugs are actually insectivorous and so do some good.
