Aldeyjarfoss waterfall in the north of Iceland is surrounded by fascinating geology. It tumbles through a narrow passage of extraordinary black basaltic columns into a wide pool below.

This is beautiful. What time of the year did you take this photograph? How much hiking and trekking was required to get here?
