Just found this thread and subscribed. That will keep me busy and out of trouble for a while! Hopefully I learn a thing or two.

For the las two years I have been using Breakthrough 6 and 10 stop round filters and a Murami CPL. Now I think I am ready to start using GNDs. I just ordered the Lee100 holder with clip-on CPL, 6 and 10-stop and 2 and 3 stop soft edge GNDs.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much easier the GND's make your post processing. I've been carrying a set for 2 years now and just used them for the first time recently and my mind was blown.

Thanks for the encouragement. Glad you are getting good results with yours.

I have spent too long avoiding skies. Or when I do shoot skies I don't like the look of darkening them in post. They turn blue-gray. Most of my horizons have foreground trees in them so we'll see how that goes. But I'm pretty sure I can compensate in post. So I think I'd rather brighten the trees in post than darkening the sky. I do plan to go to the mountains periodically too.

Many people say you don't need them anymore because it can be done digitally. But if I don't like the results it is time to try something else.

Here's one from Saturday, we had a lot of wind so the water was pretty rough. Busted out my Nisi 10 stop to smooth out the water and I love the smoothness it gave the clouds.

I finally found a moment last week to head out to a local beach in Perth in search of a new composition and to take advantage of moody conditions before approaching cold front.
