this GBH was photographed on an overcast but well lit late morning, and it was about 15 meters high, in a favourite perching tree of theirs.(i've seen a couple at a time up there). i really like the almost pastel colours from the difused sunlight.

A Green Heron and a GBH hanging out in the reeds at the Sedona Wetlands Preserve in AZ. The reeds at the preserve are so tall (at least 8 ft.) that they make these birds look small.
