This usually whirred and clicked when operating. Taken with my cell phone.

Crunch time guys and gals! Pity about the turn out but 4 is better than zero :-)

Trumperr, I'm a sucker for old trains but, sadly, this shot did not do it for me

OhLook, sorry but I could not pick up on the Chh-chk-chkk

Old Crow,. yes, I can hear the whirr and tick, tick, tick. And I guess this old machine is still working

Maureen, yes we all know this sound - I like it.

So, Mareen gets the top slot and Don's old sewing machine is in second place. Thanks to Trumper and OhLook for taking part.

Over to you Maureen

Congratulations to Maureen and Don. Trumper, it surprised me that your train yard didn't place. I really like that shot.

Martin, I tried to sound like Velcro opening. Not easy, and I guess just not easy enough.

Maureen, I actually don't know the sound of that ride, except for any screams from riders. Fairgrounds are noisy, with many things going at once.

A question before the next challenge starts: With EXIF now automatically added above images, do we still have to identify the camera in a post?

OhLook, The chains clang & the music is raucous. Plus there are always a handful of screamers :-P

I thought Trumper’s train would win...... but I loved & heard all the entries. OhLook, it did take me a few seconds to figure yours out....very clever! I will have a new challenge up shortly. I do have jury duty next Monday so I will post results ASAP

... With EXIF now automatically added above images, do we still have to identify the camera in a post?

I think that it may be redundant but safer, because some processes like 'save for web' in PhotoShop may remove completely EXIF info from the file.
