Immature Rose-breasted Grosbeak

A very nice shot here Dave. I'm thinking this Rose-breasted Grosbeak may not be an immature bird. In my uneducated opinion, it could be an adult with the chickenpox. :p:mrgreen:

Ray, I have to agree with Darrell on this. A bit less sharpening would make a big difference.

Great work, pcs, excellent sharpness and nicely composed.

Again, this thread moves so FAST, it's all but impossible to keep up. :-/

Great shot, Mike. I don't think we have the Acorn WP's in our area - at least I've never seen one.

Thank you very much, Phil. Supposedly they are found in a very small region of west Texas. Out here in California, they are a very common foothill bird.

Nice grab, Sibil. Most folks would assume this one is scratching itself. Personally, I think he might be giving you an obscene gesture in bird sign language. :p:-P

Super nice capture, fotoi. The color of the bird and the water (gold with the patches of blue) makes for great composition.

A very nice DIF (dragonfly in flight) shot Jan. This one kind of looks like it's smiling and showing all it's white teeth. ;-)a :p
