Those look like they're poppies. Is that right Lee?

Yes, it is indeed. Very hard to even find any lately!!

This was a few years ago. A full field of them about 5 miles from home! I've never seen so many before & I've never seen anything like it since.....

One of my favorites from the Roan Trip. I don't get to work in a foggy forest very often, so I loved it.

Had to edit the upload...a keyboard shortcut I am so used to at home was not the same on the laptop...so it jacked up the color...

Looks like on the way to Roan High Bluff?
If I'm thinking right, that zone is rife with Sawhet Owls (during migration).

Travis.
In Expanded Flexible spot-
I can move the focus square anywhere on the screen.
When I push in the joystick the focus square returns to center.
Important maybe. I'm on FW Version 5.0
I think I'm behind one little one?

Yes, the joystick center, not the button in the center of the wheel. That's what used to confuse me anyway, I was pushing the wrong button.

'I will eventually switch to something better' Really? What would that be?
I want to see better, faster, lighter. I'd be in :)

Not lighter but better in terms of sharpness...the "GM brick: by Sony. The price is prohibitive, though.

Just caught the skies right outside my door. I must have taken 25 shots and each one of them is different. The colors went nuts!

That was in the Rhododendron Gardens up at Cloudland.

Yeah, but mine doesn't do that...doesn't return to center.

Yeah my center button does something else but the joystick does nothing when pushed.

Something I really like to do when wandering around in a forest, is using my 85GM, shooting wide open looking for little details to highlight in the busyness of the forest. This little row of fern fronds stood out just enough and had nice separation from the darker background. Little scenes like this I really enjoy...

we are on our annual family vacation in Florida again...finally took some time last night to shoot a sunset...wild weather all day meant decent color, I was hoping for more...settled for what I got.
