That's quite an unusual pose. Very nicely done fotoi.

Thank you. I think he was shaking off some water.

Juvenile and adult Curve-billed thrashers. Caught them just before the sun peeked over the mountains yesterday morning.

Note: the EXIF info for my recent images shows "Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS". I'm actually shooting an FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens. The POTN gear database needs to be updated.

I know it's been said time & time again, but the scenes & backgrounds for all of your images are just stunning. They add so much to the beautiful subjects you capture.

One could publish a "how to" book on visualizing & "leveraging the scene" to make better images using just your photos as examples.

Hi Phil...

Your comment has made not only my day, but several years! It was very thoughtful of you, and I appreciate it more than you can know. Plus, you may have just given me a book idea. :-)

Thanks again.

Nice shot Shalu. Kinda sad, because her chances of survival are pretty slim.

Thank you, Mike! I think it was a birth defect. It should do OK, since it has survived that long, there is plenty of food source in the lake.
