Northern Red (Orange) Bishop. They were originally from Africa, but they can now be found in California. Their ancestors probably were escaped pets.

The Crimson Sunbird is the Unofficial National Bird of Singapore. This little fella looks like it has been through a washing machine! In any case, he landed on this branch no further than 20 ft away from me. Used a 1.4X TC Mk3 on the 400mm f4DO2.
