A pair of Whistling Ducks nurturing a brood of 7 remaining ducklings. They started out with 11 but predators such as Malayan water monitor lizards had taken its toll on the family.

Very nice shot, fotoi, but I honestly believe this one is a molting drake. The yellow bill and the slight bit of green in the head indicate a drake mallard. Please remember, that I'm frequently wrong.:lol:
