This evening's performance right outside my front door. All withing maybe 15 minutes with unusual combination of clouds such as altostratus, stratocumulus and even some mammatus and who know what else.
No color enhancement at all

This morning we saw this sun-halo, which is an atmospheric phenomenon caused by high, thin cirrus clouds. Tiny ice crystals in Earth's atmosphere create the halos by refracting and reflecting the light.

I grabbed this shot using in-camera Auto Exposure Bracketing (7 frames) and offset the mid-point 1 stop under. HDR assembled in LR and then finished in PS CC.

The actual scene looked very similar to the final image, a testimony to the dynamic range of our Mk I eyeballs.
