Great shot, I'll bet this one looks awesome in color also.

24mm TS-e

My first pic with this lens. I was working with miniature sets because it was easier to make adjustments. Working on a full studio set now. 8-)

There was a time - about 20 years ago - when I frequented tag/estate sales and one item I looked for were these old organizers. Why? They represented a lifetime of parts worth keeping and were even organized. Machinists, tinkerers, woodworkers, seamstresses... all the bits and pieces needed to keep things running were in these organizers. Forget running to Home Depot for a screw. :p

Screws, Bolts, Roofers, Nuts

Nice shot, Mike. Interesting stone work. :)

I'm starting to look at structures - like the one in your photo - differently now that I am engrossed in understanding the principles of tilt and shift and how they affect focus/perspective. I may have to leave the studio...

Kindness,

~Julia

Thanks Julia! I used Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz Studio on the image. Topaz Studio is unbelievably powerful for a free program.

The work shows. I often process RAW in B&W using ACR, then convert back to color where I fine tune WB & saturation, create the tiff file, then PS if needed and, if I'm doing B&W, into Nik's Silver FX. This time I was lazy. I never converted back to color and generated the B&W straight from the RAW file. Oy...
