Looking over Corpus Christi Bay, towards downtown from Portland, TX.

These cumulonimbus clouds are promising some possible rain for this afternoon.. ?

Taste differ. I like 18 better.

I did the same thing a number of years ago and also chose the 12!

Last time I went out to get these I had the Mark 3. I like these shots better.

I have tasted the 10, 12, 15, and 18 year old and I think the 12 is the best.

You should watch some tutorials on how to light a bottle on youtube, there are a ton.

I've been sober for almost 29 years but when I drank it was mostly scotch. I'm house sitting plus dog for 17 days and was just looking for something to shoot. Just a off camera flash was used. This kind of stuff is way out of my comfort zone.

Sorry we went off-topic! There bottles are attractive targets for lighting and photographing though....

Anyone know, does Canon Camera Connect app for your smart phone ( android ) allow you to do long exposures, or is there something else out there that is a better option for the 5DIV

Thanks

** EDIT** >>>> Found my answer, watch this video it explains the process You can do it right from your camera... no phone or wired/wireless shutter release needed

Beautiful Joe. This one has the look of a painting.

Fantastic shot, Joe! Is that a single exposure, or did you blend in multiple shots?

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
