I was walking through a riparian area here in the desert when I saw this butterfly perched and flapping it's wings in the sun. I really liked the way the light was coming through it's wings. Canon 1D mark III and 100 2.8 usm.

Question Mark with its wings actually open, and a Long-legged Fly as a bonus. I just learned from facebook Goatweed's don't have the black spots on the forewings.
