Yes! Glad to see this thread becoming active. I love looking at other's setups.

Here is my current setup that I am quite happy with. Definitely has its weak points, but what I like about this setup is that it works with multiple lenses.

It won't let me embed the images because they are too large.

Great blog and video. You wrote 24EX in the text but mentioned 26EX in the video. I'm thinking the latter is correct. I did not realize the new flash came with diffusers. Anyway, your modifications seem to work very well judging from the results.

Macro is a technical subject, and it is always good to get good tips about things like lighting.

I meant to say MT-24, just didn't articulate the process very well (fixed). Someone on FB had a similar concern.

Did some 3d printing this weekend for my new YN24EX setup. I saw JasonC designs which look great and thought to do my own version. This one isn't as clever but I'm happy with the results. It clips onto the flash bodies which have a convenient recess in the housings and I've tried a double diffuser design which I have found gives me better results than having a single layer at the ends.

Waiting on my extension tubes to get into this fun......

But this thread is Priceless! Mary Shelley has NOTHING on this group!

The ingenuity is marvelous!

(briefly tried the reverse lens thing for $20 but not happy with the image quality)

I'm using two Godox TT350 flashes for macro, sad thing there are no macro twin flashes that support fuji TTL, so i have to use this way. Second flash attached as slave in wireless mode. Two magic arms attached to the bottom of additional camera grip.
Using Samyang 100/2.8 and Raynox DCR-250, first result looks very promising.

Capture One software has difraction correction module, it works very well with small apertures like f16-f22. Makes image much cleaner, images were also resized to 50% )

Some 3d Printed diffusers on the flash heads plus a little bracket to lift the flash head off the attachment - not sure if this is needed or not but I saw it on some video.

Shooting with Canon 100mm and Kenko Extension Tubes and Canon 5D Mark IV.

My Yongnuo YN24EX ETTL has developed a fault after only a few days of use so I have had to revert back to a speedlite. Trying out this diffuser I bought a few years ago but never really used.

I was curious this morning to see if I could combine two sets of Extension tubes. I had 2 out of 3 of my Neewer Extension tubes remaining intact after one broke (they are terrible quality but worked really well). So I had 5 tube elements in total as you can see in the photo.

I am guessing this is getting close to the experience of using the Canon 65mm lens? It was quite tricky to use auto focus too. You sure need a steady hand and patience at this magnification.

But essentially it appears that you can happily use more than one set of extension tubes combined.

The photo of the bug has not been cropped at all.

Wow, looks good, but how do you deal with the extension of the lens at different magnifications?
