That's a really beautiful shot. Shows getting in very close is not always best.

I was treading VERY carefully around the nettle to get this photo. If you've ever had a run in with that stuff, you'll understand. If you've never had a run in with it, I hope you never do. Not too good on US spiders, but I'd hazard a guess it is some species of clubionidae - hope that gives you a starting point for further searches.
