LOL... yes it is. Nice shot!! It's actually one of the most photographed spot in WV. I'm actually from WV and grew up having picnics and family get togethers every year. I was there three days straight. I'd shoot, go home, check my shots, not be happy and go back the next day. I was trying out a new Lee filter system and kept having issues with sun spots/flares. On the third day, I took my car's window shade and held over the camera so it would be in the shade.
Between fighting the sun (waiting on the sun to go behind the clouds) and visitors at was 3 long days, but I'm happy with the results.

Here's another..... the typical shot, but I like it.

EDIT: OOPS - This isn't a BW shot..... sorry - I'll remove if needed.

Ahhh.... very nice result !

Great images! Looks like the water flow really changed over the past few weeks.
I showed my wife your shots and she says: That's strange, it always rains in West Virginia. John Denver should have sung about that. She also said you played it safe the right way, not slipping all over the rocks.
Oh, and the weather and light was all over the place for me. These two shots are great and really worth the effort you took to get the lighting right.

Thanks. I appreciate the kind words. You're right, the light was all over the place for sure for me too. Your wife is also correct - It does seem to rain a lot in the summer in WV. I don't know how many trips have been postponed because of it. The water was actually a little low, but I used a 10 stop ND filter and the exposure was about 1.5 to 2 minutes long. So it may seem like there's more water because of that.

As far as playing it safe, the first day, I waded in the water for shots and my mother went with me. I was all over the place trying to keep my footing. She video'd it and you would have thought I was having convulsions. LOL I didn't post those pictures because the sun spots I was dealing with.

I hope the rest of your trip worked out for you.

I've avoided taking that kind of image, although I couldn't say the reason. I think there is a reality to face, but at the same time, I wouldn't want my photo taken when I'm asleep. Nice to see his shoes are intact.

I understand your dilemna, I've avoided these sort of shots in the past so as not to intrude. On the other hand though, by taking the shot and posting it, it can serve as a reminder to us all that not everyone enjoys a comfortable existance. This man wasn't even asking passers by for change, he was just lying asleep on the pavement in the pouring rain as people stepped over him. So sad to see.
