Yeah 1/800th for owls is pretty tough. I'd go ISO800-1600 and that will up your shutter to around 1/1250th-1/1600; Then it'll depend upon your distance from the bird and the birds distance from it's backround and how much contrast exists in order to get the AF system to get the bird and not the trees behind the bird

Nice work, beats my first owl in flight attempt in the wild.
