Is an iso of 32000 lower than previous r series cameras?

EDIT: I just looked it up and max native iso is the same for both cameras.

(I'm interested in the 4K HDR video too)

I’m curious how much the price of the A7Riii will drop

Well it’s around $2,400 or so new now. I’d expect it to be $1,998 or less in a few months.

The a7rIV is a big pass for me. 120MB raw files are too much for me.

Selectable focus frame color
The focus frame color can be set to white or red.* Red can
improve visibility in situations where subject and focus
frame color contrast is low and it is difficult to make out
the focus area against the subject"

Worth the upgrade alone!!

I wish they would FW update that on the a9...its gray...and I can't see it...almost ever...I play Marco Polo with it by half pressing the shutter and make it turn green...

I've been off the grid and there are 100's of posts I haven't read. Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse but I see the Sony announcement here is a bit is going to be an A7RIV?? I'm disappointed. Are there not enough freakin' FF cameras to choose from?? I really wanted something a long the lines of an a6500 with the new bad ass AF system. I've realized that I pretty much hate shooting with the a6500 because of having to fiddle with the back wheel to change AF points. I've missed tons of shots of fast moving subjects because of this issue. It's a total pain trying to quickly frame a shot without a joystick....or perhaps the super sick tracking of the new cameras. The 6400 is just a little watered down for my desire but I may have to borrow one for a couple days and try it out.

Anyhoo.....Here's a stitched shot of my view while enjoying a glassy glide on the paddle board yesterday morning in McCall Idaho.

I could deal with it...the r2 is already 90mb per file...so that is not that big of a deal...for what I use the r2 for, I don't collect a massive amount of images anymore anyway.

I can't see shooting that camera in burst unless it was wildlife...and then I would have to force myself to chuck the ones I didn't want. I do that with the a9 now...at 20fps...

Center press, tracking AF. It's sort of ridiculous, especially if I fat finger into the corner somehow.

getting it to center, track and recompose is the simplest solution, and how I shoot most the time, it just locks so well.

yes, but I can't seem to get mine to do that anymore...and I can't figure out what that function is called now to re-program it...with the new FW they have changed the names of things...like the setup for how you want to record media to the two slots...it got renamed and it took me forever to find it...Card Slot 1 is working again too...no idea why it goes in and out...it seems to like the Sony cards more.

I think it was just focus standard, I have that for joystick center press.

I will have to see what I can find...it got reset to changing focus modes at the push, and I don't like that...

OMG WTH Cory? It’s a beautiful gorgeous image, but are you seriously still using that ancient 6500?

Seriously I’m awed by the extreme beauty of the mountain northwest...hope I get more opportunities to camp there again in the future.
