Like Alfredo I never upgraded from a7R II, so an a7R IV is most definitely appealing.

OMG WTH Cory? It’s a beautiful gorgeous image, but are you seriously still using that ancient 6500?

Not as ancient as the A7 :lol::lol:

I dunno, it looks like the new a7r4 doesn't have a flip out LCD for doing 'selfie' videos. That might be a deal breaker for me...since I'm the only one I have to take videos of. :p

Oh cool. Didn't realize that. Reading the comments is too funny. It's not going to be the camera body for everybody but it looks great to me so far.

Who got turned off when you saw the 60mp? is it just me?

looks like the only thing i like is the focus point color selection. that thing is almost invisible all the time.

is A7S series discontinued? that's what I've been waiting for and hoping for at least 18mp.

yup, even 42mp for me is a bit much :P

but wow, the m4 came out pretty fast. sony is trying to pump out cameras to compete with others I guess. took awhile for m3 to come out after m2, but m4 is too quick. Still feel like I just got my camera heheh

I wonder if Sony sell less of their RIV due to the RIII being that good would make them change their 2 year release schedule....

Seems more evolutionary than revolutionary. It seems the presenter is expecting a much more hyped response from the audience, but its been pretty lukewarm lol.

Solid camera, but I think we're hitting diminishing returns here.

Real time eye-AF in video is nice!

I want one mainly for the real time AF tracking in photos, but not a huge urgency for me.

3,500 USD. Priced right IMO. No crazy tarrif situation going on.

That's exactly why I think this body is being released too soon. IMO they would have been better off releasing the R3 now with the new sensor but have made the most of people with G.A.S

CV40 sold! That didnt take long

And on the plus side not much GAS for changing from my A7RIII

I'm jealous of how fast your lenses sell, my poor 35mm Art is still not sold :(

This is what did it for me since I didnt upgrade the R2

1. 15 stop DR
2 Newest sensor
3. I finally get the battery to work on both cameras again (a9)
4. Everything else.

Losing the apps will be difficult but I really dont use them much. I will probably jettison my A7r2 when the order fulfills and take the lumps.

How do I check shutter count I never have checked on my r2 but I am sure it is huge.

Oh and I cancelled my Tamron 17-28. Will have to see how this camera does with that lens before committing that way.

Threading the needle and a crop image with the R3. Was using the a7R3 instead of a9 since I wouldn't be doing BIF

Crop from same series as below. I'm good at 42mp.
