I love this profile close-up shot. It's really nice, Brad.

Thank You!
That was the first Great Grey I had ever seen, I was pretty excited when it appeared!

I was a very willing subject and I got quite a few pictures of it. I’ll post more later on

Very pretty birds and they show up very nicely against the blue background.

Very nice capture, Tom. This shot reminds me of a mockingbird. If it wasn't for the long bill, I'd think it was a mocker.

Hi Mike...

Thanks for the comment, and yes, the two birds do have a similar look. In my area, the curve-bills are much more common, and I just naturally assume they're not mockingbirds...until I get surprised. :-)

Hawfinch

Very Dark in the forest as the canopy was very dense with little light getting through. Most of my shots were between 1/30 - 1/100s. There was many a long wait for the few hawfinches to show but they easily got spooked by the Jays and noisy Blackbirds as well as the GS Woodpeckers. A slightest of any noise they were off only to show 30-40 minutes later. They would come from nowhere land on the ground or a low perch and inquisitively look around to see what was going on.

Very nice bird shots, Grand Dad. Great job of showing these bird in such a way, that no signs of captivity can be seen.
