I can't decide if I like the second one. The leaf in the foreground feels like a distraction but I prefer the detail in the caterpillar.

Tough choice, something that we run into often. I think I would go with the first.

Many thanks. Tough to hit correct focus and have fast enough shutter speed to freeze the image. A challenge and very satisfying when a shot works. About one in 50 - if I'm lucky!

Probably about the weirdest critter I've ever photographed. Not sure what it is, I would guess some type of tree or leaf hopper.
