At a go-kart track in Sumas, WA. The racers ages were anywhere from 6 to 70 years old. It was a fun day!

Here are a few from a recent airshow at Heritage Flight Museum (Skagit County Airport).

This plane is named Pearl. Of the 5 or 6 civilian aircraft that were in the air when Pearl Harbor was bombed, Pearl is believed to be the only survivor.

Beautiful shot, can I ask you do you crop heavily? I'm thinking of swapping my Tamron 150-600 for this lens (it is not weatherproof) but of course the 100-400 is shorter.
I would mostly use it for birds (In a hide) or the zoo.
Ever used this lens with the 1.4?
I also have a fullframe camera so I wondering if this lens will be long enough for me.

Thanks you for the info Sandra

This thread https://photography-on-the.net …ad.php?t=1411834&page=700 about this lens has more traffic, have you seen it?
While my photos are (far) from as beautiful as Weja's I've got a few sharp ones in that thread and most of the time with the 1.4 converter. I also use a 5DIV(and before a 5DIII)+100-400II and the 1.4EXIII. I used to have a sigma 150-600S but I've no regrets going for the Canon: smaller, lighter(the Sport was heavy!), faster and more accurate AF, even with extender.

Here are a few more shots with the II and the 1.4x III. Work well together!

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

So I thought it over again and said to myself lets be crazy and buy it now. I used some my savings, hey we don't get any interest at the moment and I can have some great fun with his lens.
That together with the summer rebate I still saved € 230.00 after I'm going to buy the 1.4EX.

One test shot of my not so willing subject, sorry for the high ISO I didn't change it back after shooting owls at nighttime ;-)a :-)
