Same hospital like before. It seemed to me that this painting stands as a symbol for the sadness of demolition.

I hope they will save the equipment first?

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

This shot was taken in May 2007 on the cliffs above Arromanches-les-Bains, France. There are more at nearby Longues-sur-Mer too. Google these Normandy D-day beaches and you will find a ton of info. What I find interesting is that all the gun batteries were heavily shelled from battleships and bombed from the air before the landings. Despite this, they remained operative though with diminished effectiveness. Apparently the bombardment cut underground cables and disabled their aiming and ranging systems - so they had to be operated manually.

Thanks for your interest

Just surprised to see the barrel still there, these are normally taken as salvage, on the ones in the UK right down to the mountings.

Nice. Is the white lighting "light painting" by you?

This one works well in B&W. I'd be even more impressed if you told me it was film. ;-)a
Really nice tones, and that cloud backdrop is just about perfect. :-)
