Verdin (immature). Hummingbird-sized and hyperactive, you have to be lucky to get a clear shot of one.

Nice shots, Paul. I'm sure that I am prolly wrong here, but it looks like you have two different species of hawks together. The larger one appears to be a red-shouldered hawk and the smaller one looks like it might be a sharp-shinned hawk. I believe Jack Dawe would know for sure. The mockingbird certainly is a brave chap around those hawks.
