Finally wrapped this project up...each one of these presents new challenges...this one had a neighbor that turned on a bunch of red uplights in the trees next door that really didn't go well with the mood...but it can be fixed.

Nice montage. I like the blend of architectural and artistic photographs that define the look of the home.

Excellent work Travis. Everything flows really nicely.

---------------

Battalion location in San Antonio. I would love to shoot the interior but I managed to get a blue hour shot recently. Yes those darn electric scooters got in the way. Really hate those things.

"Historic and Majestic Firehouse #7 is home to Restauranteur Andrew Goodman and Chef Stefan Bowers newest concept, Battalion. After a nearly two year renovation, "The Rock" has been restored as the crown jewel of Southtown [In San Antonio]. Overlooking the spectacular downtown cityscape and the famous Tower of Americas, Battalion's contemporary design merges perfectly alongside the historic building's strong, yet weathered 1920's craftsmanship." -TripAdvisor

Have you seen the newest FW 3.0 from about a month ago? It updates the EM1.2 to the focus algorithm of the EM1X, supposedly improved the low ISO noise, and a few other things as well. So it seems they’re keeping it updated, at least for now. I recently updated, but haven’t really tested it out.

I agree that it’s a good complement to the Sony system. The bodies are very similar in size, but the lenses can be a lot smaller due to the smaller sensor size. The only “drawback” is more depth of field at equivalent apertures vs FF, but that shouldn’t be an issue in real estate.

wow thank u, i didnt see this release of this, i am still on old firmware, now i have to eat my words regarding no firwamare updates on the em1.2,,,,,ill eat them as i update my camera,,, thanks again.

You’re welcome

I somehow got on the email list for Olympus and received an email about the update sometime after it was released or I wouldn’t have known about it either. I can’t say if there’s a huge improvement in anything since I’ve barely used it since I updated, but I’m hopeful. They did indeed need to update the anti flicker, it was pretty awful when shooting my daughter’s late evening softball games and/or doubleheaders. The Sonys are certainly better in that regard and IMO the A7iii is a bit better the A9 there. It seems switching to mechanical shutter helps, and the A9’s mechanical shutter is only 5fps. Not bad, but it’s a huge slowdown when you’re used to 10-20fps.

Speaking of FW, there’s also a firmware update for the Metabones IV that’s supposed to enable 10fps with adapted lenses on the A7iii with CAF. I’ll definitely have to see if that’s really true once softball season starts (soon).

Poof has me walking 3-5 miles a day :(
And the RX10iv is normal carry for the walks.
On occasion I go by a pond (and Gene just realized I can take the a6400 for some BIF there).
Yeah I know that was a rough ISO for a 1 inch sensor.

I have both and love them both. The 36L is better when using big lenses. If you decide to get one, let me know I have a promo code to get a little free swag.

Thanks. He likes that style of shooting, and one of the reasons we work well together. His inspiration is Bernard Trainor, a really well known landscape architect.

Do you take the 36 on planes as a carry on?
