You don't need 7 exposures to cope with 4 stops; try 3

The upper left quadrant has been "killed" by the HDR process. This could be avoided by blending in a single exposure. If you don't want to tale that leap, just choose a different subject - but please keep trying.

If it's any consolation, I always find deciduous woodland difficult!

There is semi-permanent in some of the north facing gullies and reindeer browse on lichens on the summiot plateau
