The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Speaking of car get together's, I would be remiss if I didn't at least mention a couple real car guys. Closest is Robert Crawford, (R.I.P.) who was my old partner in putting car shows together. Frank Catania on the far side, whom owned Cartania Batteries. After he retired, and closed the business, he allowed the Model T, and (A) club full run of the building, which included a machine shop.

Well, some more than others. :p
His engine was conservatively rated at 600 Ponies.

Not at all! 2.3T from a Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe...in the front! I've never seen a front-engined beetle before.

Is this a front engine VW conversion? I note you post a lot of photos with VW's, are you a club member?
Interesting shot, for sure. :-)
Edit, I see the post above where you say it is a front engine Bug.

No car get together is complete without including some car guys, and Phil Maloof is definitely one of them.
Uncle Phil's cars on youtube.

Phil is part of the Maloof family that are known for The Sacramento Kings, and The Palms Casino, among other things.
If you ever get invited to his house at Rancho Bel Air, in Las Vegas, take him up on it.
Phil on the left, with his arm on Robert.

I tried it both ways and my spellchecker red lined both. I guessed wrong. :p
