As a avid photographer and WIS, I'm always on the watch forums (http://www.rolexforums.com; http://www.paneristi.com; http://www.timezone.com (external link)). I have collected timepieces for several years and very much enjoy viewing the photos of all watches. I commend you on your work. As good or better than most I have seen. I've found capturing quality images of my watches to be one of my biggest challenges. Well done.

Amazing stuff... Could you explain further why you're putting your softboxes farther away from the subjects. Is it because of reflections?

And are you getting paid for any of this stuff? Or just port work? ;)

I'm not actually using any softboxes. They are just too big. I am using some pieces of semi-transparent plastic sheets I have laying around, foam-core and small white pieces of white cardboard as reflectors.

As for pay: non yet. Just port-fodder. :D

Glad to see another watch geek here. As a matter of fact, that is where I hang out: http://watchgeeks.net (external link)

You are correct: shooting watches can be rather difficult, to say the least. People are SO much easier. :D

wow great shots, and nice collection! The one shot I didn't see which I would like to is a straight on shot without any tilting of the camera/watch.

Thanks for sharing!!

This might be an old thread but just to share the feedback from the Timex Ironman One GPS+ Watch (external link) that I recently bought.

Specifications are:

Insta-fix GPS provides fast and accurate distance and pace
Built-in MP3 player can connect tunes to your wireless Bluetooth headset (not included)
Always-on, touchscreen Qualcomm Mirasol display provides brilliant resolution inside or out
50-meter water resistance, so you can splash and swim worry-free - GPS reception and cellular services not available with watch in water

Great watch that does exactly what is was designed to do: be a phenomenal running GPS watch. Crisp screen, great graphics, intuitive menus, and tracking features that don't require lugging around a phone for your run.
