I may be canceling my a7RIV preorder. Looks like I may be moving to Denver for work. Major change!

a nice place for photos! got the city, downtown, landscapes.

So I was severed from my company last week... Actually the second time I got severed from this place... Was severed in 2016 and came back last year. Between that I worked for a company that was sold off, and took a contractor role that ended when the project I worked on was finished. So in 5 years I was terminated from 4 roles for reasons that had nothing to do with performance. In that time I spent 13 months without a paycheck outside of severance checks that I blew through.

I'll be fine this time around as I'm confident I'll land something quickly since I'm basically a professional at being unemployed and have built good networks because I have to

I'm technically not a millennial, but I get the struggles that millenials face... So much career uncertainty these days. I'm pretty fortunate in the grand scheme of things... But it's very hard to just plan your feet and set your family up for the future these days when you're constantly bouncing around with your career trying to survive the day to day

Lee, I was driving down the motorway to work yesterday and was passed by a Ford Granada ! Was a left hand drive one too. I've never seen one of those here since I moved to NZ from the UK 30 years ago!

Great to see the Escort RS. My Dad has the RS Turbo, not the white original one, but the one with the vents in the bonnet and Mum had a very special RS1600i cabriolet. I think there were only ever 250 of those made.
I used to drive that when I was 17. It was actually a get a way car in a robbery before we owned it. I used to get pulled over by the police all the time for that one hahahaha

Sounds like you grew up around a nice selection of Fords! I've always owned a Mk1 Escort since I passed my test in 1993. Also had a really nice black Mk1 Orion 1600 Ghia & also a completely original Mk4 XR3i Escort too back in the 2000's

I was a vauxhall guy initially. First car was a Nova 1.2 SR, then I had a Nova 1.6 GSI (flying machine at the time!). From there ive had all sorts from Mitsubishi FTO to Audi A4. My fav is my current though which is a BMW 335D Estate as its an absolute rocket. Its quick enough that its helping taking away the desire to buy another sports bike. Ford wise ive had an Escort 1.4, a Fiesta 1.2 and a Focus 1.6

lol how do you keep the extra pieces? Id love to throw away the boxes but end up keeping them because of they just do a better job on keeping the extra parts safe and not have to just toss in a bag and having them rub against each other. (keep your minds clean now :P)

I have the boxes still hidden in my wardrobe haha. I would keep them all in one box but have to label them first otherwise Ash will end up with Link's face haha. Do you have many?

yes, stability is a big part of my shooting, weebill lab (not the most stable), gopro, and insta360.

unfortunately, I'm kind of stuck with the weebill lab, it's got the neatest features of all gimbals, underslung mode, but it can be robotic at times. Movement isnt buttery smooth, the gimbal costs a lot as well.

dusted off an old friend today..a73 and the 90mac have been unused for a good bit now

going through a bit of a rut as far as photography goes.. not feeling very motivated or creative..

thought maybe the 90, since its the only macro lens I owned would inspire .. i'm not really a macro shooter but anyway.


i've come up with a list of ideas , themes for the day , week or month.. hoping it will exercise the creative muscle.

This was suppose to be fragments of my everyday work day.. I forgot how shallow 2.8 is when you are so close ..so most didn't come out so well since the dof was so shallow.

oh well, i'll try again

When do the 200-600s start dropping? Anyone got a good tip on where to buy that doesn’t have an excessively long wait times - like waiting for B&H to fulfill all their preorders?
