Jason, my wife and I feel for you. We've been going the rounds of anorexic kitties for the last couple of months. It's very time consuming, but worth the effort. Out thoughts are with you and your beautiful girl.

JasonC do I need to submit a resume...? More info | Aug 04, 2019 12:27 | #10539 Jason C wrote in post #18903590 Fighting for her life... ![]() My dear Roxy (13+ years) has hepatic lipidosis, in what seemed to occur immediately. One day she's fine and pigging out on food, then the next day she has no appetite and is lethargic. The very next day my vet gives me the news, gives me meds and a game plan. Her liver needs to get kick-started, and she need food, nutrition, and that ain't happening with her loss of appetite. So, I've been force-feeding her for 8 days as much as I can when home from work, along with her meds, daily. After this post, I'll be feeding Roxy again. Her appetite is virtually gone now, she had 3 small bites of breaded chicken tonight on her own, and it's the only thing she's eaten of her own appetite in two days. Yes, she is old, yes, she is obese, I know how this works. I've been down this road many times... At this point, I don't see her turning it around, but I'm still going to med and feed her, coupled with a lot of love. When the time comes, I hope that she is at home in one of her favorite spots...time will tell. P.S. I've been trying real hard to pay a lot of loving attention to Roxy's non-maternal sister, Missy. It's a balancing act between the needs of a sick child and the needs of a healthy one. Also, apologies if I had posted the above pics in prior, very prior, posts. jason Roxy continues to decline, but she is still hanging out with us; not hiding under the bed. Equipment & Feedback

She has lost 1.2 lbs since last week, down to 9.4 lbs. She was 13.5 lbs at the beginning of this year... jason Doesn't sound nice, but cats are cats, and we've had them bounce back from seeming no hope.
