Needed to shoot this weekend so ran to the Botanical gardens. With just the A9 1.4tc and 100-400GM and YES I TOOK MY MACRO 90 with the A7r2.

Without cheating which is the A9 shot and which is the A7r2 shot (cropped)

Chris states that he finds it to be sharper than the Zeiss f/1.4 and is really impressed with this lens. So glad I preorded it.

Very nice! That’s the first bit of remorse I’ve felt when I realised they were cv40 shots

I know I have mentioned it before...and was going to send the a9 in for service...the Card Slot 1 not reading error...turns out that it is a UHS-i vs UHS-II issue...Card SLot 1 no longer reads UHS-I cards. Maybe a glitch in a FW update that caused it and apparently FW 5.01 fixes it....I thought I was on 5.01, but will have to look when I get home. All of my UHS-II cards work just fine in that slot...

And a picture to go with words...from the beach trip...probably missed a dust spot or two but after removing a couple hundred I got tired of looking for them...not sure how the sensor got so dirty on that trip...but it took 3 swabs to get it clean.

I missed something. You sold your CV 40? I see your sig shows an FE 35...that a place-holder for the new FE 35 1.8?

it's nice how you've (and few others) been posting pictures of your kids. we get to see them grow

School tomorrow! Seems strange, ours don't go back until the first week of September!

that was how it was growing up for me...but now, they go back so early, too early if you ask me.

It's a mountain fed stream so the water is amazingly clear and cold all year round.

They changed our school schedule as well. Kids got out 2 weeks early and go back town weeks early. They go back on aug 19. I don’t like it. I’d rather them stay in school longer in the spring (when the weather is wet and colder and I go on personal kayak trips). Then I’d rather them go back a little later....1st of sept works for me. I mean come on....it’s still summer!
