I can't recall specifically, but I was there on a Friday so the crowds were significantly reduced. It was quite pleasant all day, enough to hike the beehive trail at least.

As for the path, it's easy enough to find - the trail is more towards the southeast end of the parking lot. I'd ask a ranger for recommendations, they are extremely helpful people.


Thank you! Looking forward to getting down on the rocks and hopefully not a crowded circus. 2nd week of September, and on a weekday most likely. I might also try an A.M. session.

Sunset over 'Old Father Thames'
Just how romantic can that be? :-)

This 400kV power crossing spans the river between Swanscombe, Kent and West Thurrock, Essex.
The Pylons are 190m (623ft) high. The span is 1372m (4501ft).

Some Aussies, a lot of Aussies are intrinsically and inseparably attached to a can or a glass :p
It's a common phenomena :-)
