I can't recall specifically, but I was there on a Friday so the crowds were significantly reduced. It was quite pleasant all day, enough to hike the beehive trail at least.

As for the path, it's easy enough to find - the trail is more towards the southeast end of the parking lot. I'd ask a ranger for recommendations, they are extremely helpful people.

Thank you! Looking forward to getting down on the rocks and hopefully not a crowded circus. 2nd week of September, and on a weekday most likely. I might also try an A.M. session.

Sunset over 'Old Father Thames'
Just how romantic can that be? :-)

This 400kV power crossing spans the river between Swanscombe, Kent and West Thurrock, Essex.
The Pylons are 190m (623ft) high. The span is 1372m (4501ft).

I was wondering about that. I saw s lot of that haze. Now I understand what it was about. Anyway, the scenery on Mindil Beach was just amazing, though. Best part was that most people were walking around with wine glasses and drinking. You'd be arrested forr that in the US. Some good folks shared the booze with me! Quite an experience, Pippan ߘ

Some Aussies, a lot of Aussies are intrinsically and inseparably attached to a can or a glass :p
It's a common phenomena :-)
