NICE! That lens is amazing. It’s a must have. May just have to go on a lens selling spree.

Goodbye CV 40, FE 50 ZA, and Loxia 85. I like you, but don’t love you.

Our sunrise was awesome...looked to be a dud at first and then we got a real treat. Followed that up with a hike to a waterfall. Our after lunch spot didn't pan out...no water. So we are 3 for 4, batting .750.

Pancake breakfast and summer fiesta evening party on day 2 ......

Beetles in the showroom are probably ballpark about 100,000-150,000+ in restoration!!! Better than factory and power plants probably make them fun 13 second 1/4 mile cars. This Canadian built car in Champagne won Most Beautiful Cal look in North America at the Bugin car show this year.

Sunday is Day 3.....gotta run!!

Hey David, how are you feeling the 35 f1.2, has the aura worn off or is the weight worth it? IQ looks out of this world for some reason.... maybe the really good samples are clouding my judgement, the bokeh is as good as I've ever seen on a 35, and even better than most 50's?

It seems Sigma finally figured their rendering out. Samples look really good.

Had an amazing first trip to the Smokies with Travis. We had some great conditions to shoot and made the most of it. This park has it all. From stunning mountain view’s, endless streams, cascades, trails, waterfalls, and even wildlife. We even got to see a black bear up close, coyotes, deer, and wild turkey. I even got to meet a truly professional photographer named Leter Peaton. It will take two lifetimes for me to learn what he knows. “Absolutely glorious” trip. Thank you Travis for sharing some beautiful spots with me!

I canceled my a7RIV order. After this recent trip, it’s clear that I need a longer lens and I don’t want to part with my a7RII due to the apps. I use Smooth Reflections all the time. I want to get the FE 100-400 GM. The new 200-600 is tempting but not ideal for my landscape and cityscape shooting.
