Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This weeks the theme is Water. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Have fun with Water

Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between Monday Sunset and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES
That's it! Have fun! As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it!
Have fun!

WWPW is starting slow this time. I've had a cold all week, didn't get out and about until today to fetch some water.

I wish I had paid attention yesterday as we had a bit of a tornado over Amsterdam. Close to where I live even. And I missed it. I did see a particularly dark cloud moving over my house, and I did see the wet streets, but only learned about the tornado an hour or so later when I checked the news. And when I say 'tornado' I mean tornado Dutch style, i.e. a small one that didn't do much harm. Still, quite unusual, especially in Amsterdam, and I can't stand that I missed it!

Instead I took a crappy shot of a water thingy today. Fountain? Fountains? It was rather funny because we had really stormy weather today so the water was blow away. Of course I didn't manage to capture that, but here's an idea of how it looked.

The iPhone SE's camera is really bad!
Or maybe it's me not knowing how to work it... :p

Been raining most of the day here, so was very odd to see a break in the gloom just before it got dark:

The water tank is a favorite gathering place for these girls as our summer has turned out to be hot and dry.

The tank looks like a wading pool. Did the troughs of my youth go out of style?

LOL. OhLook, I will use anything that holds water on my farm whether in style or not. I've been known to use these blue poly tubs for a quick set "pool" in my yard. I use the 300 gallon size as I can haul them in my pickup, they come in 1000 gallon but are no deeper, just larger diameter.
