Thorrulz Goldmember ![]() More info | Nice capture, sorry to here it gave up the ghost, loved mine until I switched over to Nikon. Now, along with the other bodies I own I have the the Nikon equivalent of the Canon 1d, the D2h and still take it out to shoot from time to time. They both still produce great images as long as the user understands their limitations. Flickr

Oct 06, 2018 11:02 | #7301 I picked up a 1D about 8 years ago as a 'spare body' to keep in the car. Version I got was mint, only about 7000 shots! Turns out these are awesome cameras, and whilst only 4mp, I have a few images that are printed at 18x18 that look great. Unfortunately once you've picked up a 1D body there is no turning back! I still have the original though, and it's still going strong. Just realised that I haven't used it all year, so I think I need to slap a lens on it and take it out for the week! Second, British Grand Prix from a few years ago - this is where the 1D excels! I've shot a few fast sports events where the AF and shutter speed of the 1D have captured images that I would never have achieved with a 5D. Canon 5D, 1D, M(IR), 1DsmkIII, 17-40 f/4L, 24-105 f/4L, TS-E 45 f/2.8, EF 50 f/1.4, Zeiss ZE 21 f/2.8, Zeiss ZE 35 f/2, CZJ Pancolar MC 50 f/1.8, Helios 44-2 58 f/2

I just got one, like new, never even had a flash mounted on it. $100. Being mostly a Pentax user, the CCD photos from it look like what I am used to for the most part. So over the years I have collected a 10d, 20d, 40d, 50d, 7d, and now this. Is this thread dead or revivable?
